I surrounded the eye of the horse
The components of this multimedia installation are a video-projection 'I surrounded the eye of the horse' und several digital prints. Central theme in this new work by the German Spanish artists Ana de Alvear is the interpretation and the evolution of the spiral. Once again Ana de Alvear combines the observation of nature und artistic approach in her latest work. The artist has written a short trilingual text (Spanish, German and English) for this work that partly appears in her video as well:
I surrounded the eye of the horse
Emptiness is conditional for the birth of the symbol, it takes root in the space between the two opposites of a conflict.
The symbol is the energy for renewal and permits our inner evolution, since we discover our inner nature through it.
The message that it transmits is never obvious and its understanding is on the emotional level of what has been lived, while confronting the opposites: reality and perception.
Upon contacting the transcendence of the contents of our unconscious we may only depend on ourselves to discover the path. It is through our feelings that we find ourselves involved in our own evolution, discovering ourselves.
... I surrounded the eye of the horse, that climbed upon the solar chariot, turning me into a fountain of light …
... I made extensive voyages, great transformations, in my interior as well as on my exterior ...
... converting me to the original movement, that on its own does nothing, but without me, nothing can be done ...
… emblem of the five elements, I recognized, that I was their birth as well as their origin, specifying my notion of my inner self and my individual consciousness …
... universal sign of the permanence of the being throughout the fluctuations of change ...
... I saw that I have the seed, the possibilities of development of the future cycle, … it is my seed's primary sound, …
... this is how I discovered that I am the origin of the manifestation, confirming my relationship with the original waters and their spiral development from a central point …
… celebrating myself as a cosmic symbol, I am the spiritual journey after death, throughout the unknown changes, guiding it through my orderly spiral towards the central focus of eternal self …
